Hatha is a static (non-vinyasa) practice. It is focused on connecting the body and mind with the purpose of increasing awareness and stability. Hatha 1 will focus primarily on foundational asanas (poses), which will be held for several breaths, allowing students to truly experience how the asana feels within their own body. Some pranayama (breathing exercises) may also be included.
No full inversions will be included in this class (some preparations for full inversions may be included).
Following the asana practice you will be guided through 15 minutes of meditation practice. We will explore different methods of meditation throughout the classes.
This class is suitable for all levels.
